Rob Bell suggests that in the Hebrew, no word for "spiritual" exists, at least not in the traditional sense of understanding spirituality as being dualistically distinct from the secular. There's also been suggestions that Jesus never used the phrase "spiritual life". The reason that has been proposed is that for Jesus and his tradition, there is no distinction between the sacred and the secular; perhaps along the lines that all of life IS spiritual.

My wife and the 2 kids are back in town for the time being and the subsequent "busyness" has been very tough for me to adapt to. This probably explains why entries to this blog has been somewhat sparse lately. I have, however, still been keeping tabs on what's been happening and taking a cue from Sivin's famed "Random Links", here an arbitrary collection of stuff that's been making its rounds in my life, presented somewhat methodically .. perhaps there's order in chaos after all :
