An Ouch Moment?

I was just reminded that the death toll due to cholera in Zimbabwe has hit 2,200. That is quite a number more than the number killed by the Israeli-Gaza conflict. This report comes not long after it was reported that Mrs. Mugabe who was in Hong Kong for a shopping trip assaulted a journalist.
To rub salt to the wound, I just came across this photo slideshow of a reception held by the Malaysian Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe. Let them eat cake, eh? Maybe that’s why Mugabe’s money is holed up in Malaysia? How’s that for culpability?
Yep .. Now I have to wonder to myself .. where is the outrage? Worst .. where was MY outrage?

Oh yeah .. if Malaysia really wants to help in the Gaza .. how about getting our IPPs to put some of their exorbitant profits into power generation projects over there. Isn’t the lack of power supply one of the problems? SYABAS can then go help out in Zimbabwe with some clean water projects instead of trying to figure out more ways to milk Selangor consumers.
Yeah .. let’s have another campaign and invite Tun Mahathir as a keynote speaker again. Maybe he can tell us how his friendship with Robert Mugabe can help alleviate this crisis. Maybe another boycott? How about K.M. Oli Muhammad .. importers of diamonds .. perhaps some of their stock come from Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone (oh Lord .. don’t let me get started on that too!). And also a boycott of Malaysian goods since we are such wonderful hosts of Robert Mugabe and his ilk.
