RIP – Bishop Rev Julius Paul
I was just informed that the Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malaysia, the Rev. Julius Danaraj Paul, was drowned in a boating accident in Guatemala over the weekend. He was in Guatemala on official business as a member of the Lutheran World Federation’s standing committee for World Service.
It gets even more poignant and personal when I realise that the last time I actually mentioned him in public was to criticise him for his reaction to the Makkal Osai incident and also to expose a person who had been impersonating him while posting inflammatory comments on this blog.
My deepest condolences to his family. May the Lord grant all of you his comfort and peace.
