The press has been going to town with how the conduct of the various Parliamentarians (read Opposition) has cast aspersion on the sanctity of the House. They were, of course, referring to a very specific period of time that somehow coincided with the live telecast of the Parliament's Q & A session on national television.
Since the press found it necessary to track the Information Minister to Bidor just to get his opinion on what happened, perhaps it'd be fair to have the Parliamentary Opposition Whip, Azmin Ali (KeADILan - Gombak), have his say :
I have expressed my own discomfort at some of the language and conduct displayed in an earlier post but was calmly reminded that I was only watching a specific 30 minute slot and wasn't really aware of the context and how the discourse evolved into a near debacle. I found a few other videos that gave a bit more context :
I'll be waiting for the Hansard's availability on the Parliament's website. At the moment, a few of us are working to get full recordings of the Parliamentary sessions for archival and possible webcasting purposes.

I have to say it was a pretty tame affair as compared to some of those we'd seen in the 11th Parliament.
Perhaps it was just that the opening of the 12th was more widely watched.
Honestly, the claims of raucous and rowdy opposition was blown out of proportion, definitely manufactured to discredit Pakatan Rakyat, and the Government can always rely on their good old faithful dog, the mainstream media to bark up the wrong tree.
The question is: Is the Tan Sri Speaker honestly suggesting that we cannot ask supplementary questions in Parliament?
