Regarding The Julius Paul Comments

I apologise for the distraction caused by the comments placed by some fellow claiming to be Julius Paul. FYI, the Rt. Rev. Julius Paul is the Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and if it was the intention of the commentator to give the impression that its the same Julius Paul, I think he failed quite miserably.

I have very strong suspicions that the commentator is a notorious blog troll that has been all over the blogosphere for quite a few years impersonating different persons; particularly those who run blogs that comment on social political issues. The style of writing and the general tone and content is similiar. Some background is provided in this article published by the online magazine The Cicak.

In the previous incarnation of this blog, a similiar troll; probably the same person; used to post very prejudicial and bigoted comments as well, many of which were collated and put up in this blog a few of us victims specifically set up. I also recently found out that a blog troll impersonated me to post the following comment in Suara KeADILan Online.

I generally do not enjoy censoring comments and posts, but I must insist on civility and decorum. Therefore, I must reserve the right to remove comments that are deliberately provocative or posted in what I feel is in bad faith. The guidelines available at GoodComment are a good rule of thumb to consider before commenting and I will henceforth not hesitate to take action on comments that might prejudice the viability of this blog or my person.

To close, I must say I am very heartened by the response so far and am especially glad that so many Roman Catholic brethren have come up on record to proclaim their support for the lifting of the ban on Makkal Osai. Thanks for the support and the links.

A Franciscan Benediction

May God bless us with discomfort
at easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships,
so that we may live deep within our hearts.

May God bless us with anger
at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people,
so that we may work for justice, freedom and peace.

May God bless us with tears
to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war,
so that we may reach out our hands to comfort them and turn their pain into joy.

And may God bless us with enough foolishness
to believe that we can make a difference in this world,
so that we can do what others claim cannot be done.
