With all the busy-ness associated with welcoming a newborn, I totally forgot that there was supposed to be a total lunar eclipse last night. Fortunately, my friends, Sam & Jerry, who are now in Shantou, China managed to catch these few wonderful shots of what Jerry called the blood red moon (血紅的月) :

Check out their blogs for more shots.

The eclipse was barely visible this part of the planet. Apparently only the tail end of the eclipse was visible in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore at around 7.22pm. Since it is generally still some light around that time, many of us here would've missed it.

Managed to see it very faintly in Sapporo City, Hokkaido. The time was about 800 pm and the sun had long set.
